UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION POSITION: Vice President, Twin Cities Network of KUAA NATURE: The Twin Cities Alumni Network gets together to watch games, enjoy KU camaraderie, meet other families and friends of Jayhawks and work to strengthen the Universities Alumni'spresence on a broader scope outside of the University Campus. The Twin Cities Network is currently in process of more formal structuring due to the increase in participation numbers and lack of organization and communication amongst Members of the Board and also communication with the Alumni Association in Lawrence, KS.I help organize events by finding locations, interested parties, or activities to host groups between 30-75 (event depending). These range from Athletic Events at professional arenas to family picnics in the park and have a large scope of activity focus. Specifically, and recently, with the restructuring I have been put in role as Vice President to act as a community outreach leader as well as business networking source. I serve to act as a familiar face at events and games, as well as a source to contact if specific questions arrise.
