As you're probably aware, I&WM issues are framed around themes and the magazine is published six times a year. Committee members meet via conference call three times to develop each issue. The calls are as follows: 1. Brainstorming?the committee decides the framework for the issue and brainstorms topics and authors to include in the issue. 2. Follow-up?approximately a month after the brainstorming call; this is a progress check to find out where we still have holes to fill for articles. 3. Article review?committee members are asked to review all submitted articles (these are sent to the committee via e-mail approximately two weeks prior). On this call the committee decides which articles to publish. The committee also meets during the Investments & Wealth Institute Annual Conference Experience?in person for those who are attending the conference. We ask that committee members participate in as many conference calls as they're able so that we get a lot of different viewpoints, particularly on the brainstorming calls. You don't need to be a writer in order to participate on the committee?we need Institute member expertise to publish a magazine that is practical and relevant for Institute members. However, committee membership does not preclude you from contributing articles for publishing consideration and several committee members have had articles published in I&WM.
