I server as a Director and Treasurer for the Friedery Family Foundation. I devote 5-10 hours per quarter. My responsibilities as listed in our organizing articles include: Maintain foundation records, including organizational documents, tax returns and correspondence, records of disbursements, periodic financial reports, etc. Write checks for distributions, expenses, tax payments, etc., as directed by authorized foundation officers. Review, with foundation's financial advisors, the investment portfolio of the foundation and, as appropriate, make recommendations for investment allocations to achieve the return targets of the foundation. Prepare a quarterly report, for the foundation board, of the activities of the foundation in the applicable period.
