AGIA POSITION: Agent NATURE: null INVESTMENT RELATED: No NUMBER OF HOURS: 10 SECURITIES TRADING HOURS: 1 START DATE: 12/17/2022 ADDRESS: 2929 Allen Parkway, Houston TX 77019, United States DESCRIPTION: Non-Securities Insurance Products ECCLIASTICAL SERVICE POSITION: Second Counselor in the Bishopric NATURE: Religious service in the role of a counselor who would help administer to the spiritual and temporal needs of a congrgation of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. INVESTMENT RELATED: No NUMBER OF HOURS: 10 SECURITIES TRADING HOURS: 2 START DATE: 04/13/2025 ADDRESS: 3101 S Flanders St, Aurora CO 80013, United States DESCRIPTION: I have been asked to serve as a volunteer member of the bishopric in my local ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I would be the 2nd counselor in a group of 5 men who form the bishopric, or leadership council, of the ward. As part of that role, I would accept tithes and offerings from members of the congregation on behalf of the ward and help in the recording and depositing of those donations into a bank account owned by the church. All recording and depositing is done by 2 or more people working together. I would also be one of 4 people who could co-sign checks from the ward made out to people and organizations, as well as help manage the budgets of the various organizations within the ward (youth organizations, children's organization, etc.). Audits of the donations, deposits, and budgets are done quarterly, and each member who makes a donation has a meeting with the bishop of the ward at the end of the year to make sure their donations have been recorded accurately. Collection of funds: Funds (cash or check) are placed in an envelope by the donor with a donation slip. The slip has a carbon copy that is kept by the donor as well. The envelope is sealed and handed to the recipient, who is one of three leaders in the congregation (sometimes it would be me), during the meeting hours on Sundays. The funds are kept on the person of the recipient until after the meetings are concluded. At the end of the meetings, two or more of the leaders meet in an office where the check or cash donation is logged and recorded. Donations are put into a deposit envelope that is sealed and signed by 2 people. The same 2 people then take the funds to the bank to be dropped off in the deposit box that day. Time spent during trading hours: If a need arises during a weekday from a member of the congregation I may be called upon to spend some time speaking/emailing/texting with them to resolve an issue. I don't anticipate this happening often and it is something that I can easily put off until after trading hours. This would typically be in communicating details on upcoming meetings or activities. I would also help oversee administration of the affairs of the ward and help its members with spiritual, financial, temporal, and social matters.
