I joined the GPN Alliance (GPNA) in 2022. GPNA's mission is to support the fiduciary standard and help make competent, objective financial advice and holistic financial planning more broadly available to the public by encouraging and supporting advisers who offer advice-only options to clients. On May 29th, 2024, GPNA purchased the Garrett Planning Network, a C corporation. (NOTE: GPN does not conduct business with the public in WA state.) In August 2025, the IRS formally granted GPNA tax-exempt 501(c)(6) filing status. GPNA provides no dividends or other forms of profit sharing to its members. I serve as GPNA's Board Secretary and invest ~2-4 hours per month with the organization. I receive no compensation for my service. GPNA is located at 1411 Rosedale Avenue, Durham, NC 27707.
