GBRFBMS is a non-profit, has no employees, the seven directors are not paid, and most have investment backgrounds like me, or are lawyers, or both. The purpose of GBRFBMS is to invest the wealth accumulated by the Food Bank, develop the investment policy, hire the RIA(s), monitor performance, and financially support the Food Bank's mission. The GBRFB President and/or the CFO cause the Food Bank to borrow and repay loans from GBRFBMS, may request permanent withdrawals, and send money to GBRFBMS for investment purposes. The name is Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank Mission Support, Inc which is an affiliate of Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank Inc, but they are operated independently. The Food Bank has a much larger Board, but 2 of the directors are on both Boards which does not include me. The address of both is 10600 S. Choctaw DR, Baton Rouge, LA 70815. I spend between 2 and 6 hours per quarter about half during trading hours, although I spent more time back in 2022 during start-up. The entity was formed and funded in January 2022 and I became a director upon founding. In about June, 2023, the Board elected officers and I became Vice Chairman.
