I was a young caddie then, and Frank was already a man of quiet strength and integrity. For five years, I had the privilege of caddying for him two to three days a week. Those rounds of golf were more than just walks on the course--they were lessons in character, humility, and consistency. Frank was a partner at Price Waterhouse Coopers at the time, and even then, he carried himself with a sense of purpose and grace that left a lasting impression on me.Years later, life brought us back together in Rochester, New York. Frank had been transferred to lead the Rochester office of PwC, and our paths crossed again through our shared involvement with Catholic Family Center, a branch of Catholic Charities. It was there that I came to know not just Frank, but MaryLou and their family. Frank and MaryLou adopted their four children through Catholic Charities, and their commitment to family and community was as strong as ever.In 2009, Frank and MaryLou approached me with a request that I will never forget. They asked if I would consider serving as a trustee for the four sub-trusts they had established for their children. It was a humbling moment--one that spoke volumes about the trust they placed in me. I consulted with Don Preston, the regional manager for Western New York, to ensure that I could accept the role within the guidelines of my professional responsibilities. With the approval of Don, Bob Dineen, and Will Fuller, I accepted--on the condition that I would not manage or have custody of the funds.I am the trustee for Bernard, Andrew & Carolyn Stotz Sub trusts. The Trusts are held and managed at UBS. I annually distribute the income from the respective trusts which is sent directly to the trust beneficiaries from UBS. The trusts also pay legal fees to Bond Schoeneck & King PLLC for services. I have requested a copy of the trusts from Bond Schoeneck & King, PLLC.
