Mr. Ly is the COO of Bellevue Funding and holds his ownership through BF Management LLC which is the manager of Bellevue Funding LLC ("Bellevue"). Bellevue makes loans on real estate on an opportunistic basis. Mr. Ly's role with Bellevue requires 15-25 hours per week (up to 40% during securities trading hours). Mr. Ly is a licensed Real Estate Broker. Although Mr. Ly has his real estate license, he does not plan to actively work in this area and will only do very minimal work. He will only allocate 5% of his time per month. Mr. Ly is a licensed insurance agent. This activity may create a conflict of interest since there is an incentive to recommend insurance products based on commissions or other benefits received from the insurance company, rather than on the client's needs. Opal addresses this conflict of interest by requiring its supervised persons to act in the best interest of the client at all times, including when acting as an insurance agent.
