Donald Andrew Bussmann is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer at Velmark Capital Management LLC. The firm is located at 580 California Street, Suite 1200, San Francisco, CA 94104. Mr. Bussmann acquired these titles when he founded the firm in 2008, however, it should be noted that Velmark Capital Management LLC was not incorporated as a Delaware Limited Liability Company until 2016. The name "Velmark Capital Management" was a DBA for Mr. Bussmann between 2008 and 2016, during which time he was focused on research, development, and proprietary trading as a sole proprietor. Additionally, the firm has not been registered as an investment adviser since 2008. The firm is a boutique investment management firm that creates bespoke solutions for its clients and its business is considered to be investment-related. Mr. Bussmann provides customized, active investment management and customized financial advice and markets advice to individuals, families, institutions, and other clients, without compensation until such time that the firm is registered. Mr. Bussmann does so on a full time basis, most of the devoted hours occur during securities trading hours. Mr. Donald Andrew Bussmann has not and does not currently receive commissions, bonuses or other compensation based on the sale of securities or other investment products, including as a broker-dealer, registered representative, and distribution or service (trail) fees from the sale of mutual funds. Although not applicable, in theory, this practice would possibly give the supervised person an incentive to recommend investment products based on the compensation received, rather than on the client's needs. Additionally, from July 2008 to April 2016, Mr. Bussmann relied on his personal savings and engaged in personal proprietary trading to generate a substantial source of his income, an activity that he devoted approximately 120 hours per month (all of which occurred within securities trading hours). Mr. Bussmann traded in his personal accounts. This personal trading is considered to be investment related.
